Q2’s expanded headquarters connects a fast-moving fintech business to the long history of exchange. IA translated teller stations, oxidized copper, cuneiform marks, and abacus beads into a flexible workplace that grounds the company’s digital mission, supports changing teams, and gives employees and clients a memorable understanding of the culture behind the technology.

Banking History Frames Fintech Innovation
At reception, the desk reimagines a traditional teller station. Metals once associated with currency, including oxidized copper, bring weight and patina to the palette. Wallcoverings and glass film translate early writing and abacus forms into more atmospheric patterns. The references give Q2’s digital work a longer lineage without turning the office into a museum. They make the idea of exchange tactile, while keeping the environment clear, current, and connected to the company’s mission.

Flexibility Supports Changing Teams
Detachable workstations and a shared kit of parts let teams grow, contract, and reconfigure. Demountable meeting pods sit between focus areas and social centers, providing both acoustic separation and places to meet. Client-facing functions are consolidated on the first floor, creating a clear journey through the executive briefing center, command center, and gathering space. Wellness suites support migraine relief, meditation, prayer, nursing, and respite, while dim, conversation-free libraries offer a deliberate retreat from active settings. The result balances adaptability with security and hospitality, giving Q2 a workplace that can respond to changing teams without sacrificing clarity, employee support, or client confidence.
