Technology

DraftKings’ Boston headquarters unites the energy of sport with the precision of a technology business. IA used a memorable arrival sequence, visible operational functions, and inclusive workplace neighborhoods to strengthen culture and recruiting while supporting secure work, content production, technology operations, collaboration, and employee care under one roof.

Brand Energy Meets Operations
A player-inspired tunnel builds anticipation at the elevator before opening onto a café modeled on a football field. Neon light and field markings bring the concept to life, while a retractable partition connects the adjacent training room for larger gatherings. A curated tour route offers controlled views into the secure workplace and reveals the company’s capabilities: an illuminated On Air sign identifies the recording studio, followed by the Network Operations Center and Desktop Support Lounge. The sequence gives visitors a vivid brand experience without compromising operational boundaries. For employees, it makes specialized teams and functions more visible, connecting the public story of DraftKings to the work behind it.

"The attention to detail and work done behind the scenes have reshaped the way that DraftKings operates and will be a staple for our business as we expand globally...Every single executive at DraftKings was truly blown away, not just by the actual finished product and attention to detail, but by the truly perfect execution and noticeable increase in productivity."

Identity Welcomes More People
Departmental neighborhoods draw from sports represented on the DraftKings platform, using stadium-scale markers and room themes to support orientation and team identity. Within each zone, conference rooms, phone rooms, and open huddle areas offer multiple levels of collaboration and focus. A barber shop, nail salon, lockers, and showers respond to a varied employee population and extend daily support beyond the workstation. Warm materials temper the graphic energy, creating an environment that welcomes employees, recruits, and guests across ages, genders, and interests. Sport becomes a flexible cultural language rather than a membership test—strengthening belonging while keeping the workplace unmistakably connected to the business.
