Hartland City Club transforms a constrained second-generation suite into a tenant amenity that helps Aquila differentiate its West Austin property. Planned to move from daytime café and workspace to private club after hours, the destination extends the building’s usefulness, creates reasons to stay, and offers tenants hospitality beyond the boundaries of their individual offices.

Business at the Front
Guests first enter a sophisticated coffee café designed for informal meetings, focused work, and everyday connection. Burgundy and champagne accents establish warmth, while a custom serpentine banquette encourages people to settle in rather than pass through. Power, varied seating, and an easy relationship to service make the room useful from the first coffee of the day through afternoon conversation.

The atmosphere is polished but approachable—equally suited to meeting a client, catching up with a colleague, or working away from the office. By supporting productive use before the club’s social program begins, the front room increases the amenity’s relevance across the full workday.

A Hidden Shift in Mood
Beyond a concealed door, the palette deepens into emerald, warm timber, and intimate light. A full bar, private tasting room with wine lockers, and two golf simulators create reasons to stay after the workday shifts. IA also developed the Hartland City Club identity through visioning, custom signage, and promotional materials, carrying the experience from invitation to arrival.

Austin hospitality appears in the openness and wit; country-club tradition supplies refinement without exclusivity. What began as an awkward plan becomes the property’s most memorable amenity, giving tenants a choice of coffee or cocktails, conversation or play, business or respite within a destination that supports recruitment, retention, and community.
