WaterColor Inn reimagines the familiarity of a beach house through the comfort and refinement of a boutique resort. Seven new family suites and a renewed indoor-outdoor bar expand the Gulf-front experience, creating more space for gathering, retreat, and the rhythms of life by the water.
A Beach House, Expanded
The one- and two-bedroom suites are conceived as a series of connected spaces, allowing families to come together while preserving moments of privacy. Separate living and dining areas, kitchens, generous baths, and private outdoor spaces create an easy progression between shared and individual experiences.
Small Rituals of a Coastal Stay
In the two-bedroom suites, a dedicated bunk room introduces a more playful moment. Built-in bunks and a boat-inspired interior window create a sense of discovery, while a second bath with a full-size tub and cabana shower responds to the practical rhythms of family life.
Private terraces and covered patios extend the suites toward the pool and Gulf, blurring the boundary between indoors and out. The renewed poolside bar continues that movement, transitioning easily between interior and exterior spaces and creating an informal gathering place throughout the day.
The experience is shaped around the small rituals of a coastal stay: breakfast around the kitchen, a child claiming the top bunk, returning from the beach, drinks on the terrace as the day winds down. Rather than treating hospitality as formality, the design creates room for each generation to experience the coast at its own pace.
