For American Airlines, the premium travel experience begins long before boarding. Our evolving partnership with the airline is focused on creating environments that reflect its brand vision while responding to the changing expectations of First and Business Class travelers around the world.

Across American Airlines’ lounge portfolio, the design strategy balances a consistent brand experience with the character of each destination. Rather than creating a uniform expression, each lounge responds to its local context while supporting the different ways travelers want to spend their time, whether connecting, dining, working, or recharging.

At Newark Liberty International Airport, that approach creates a warm, locally grounded retreat. Industrial details reference the region’s bridges, while imagery inspired by Branch Brook Park brings a more familiar sense of place. A mix of social, dining, work, and quieter settings gives travelers greater choice, translating American’s evolving lounge concept into an experience that feels both distinctly local and unmistakably part of the broader brand.

The result is more than a premium lounge. It is a hospitality experience that strengthens American’s relationship with its customers and creates greater consistency across a growing global network. Through close collaboration, we continue to help American Airlines transform time in transit into an experience that feels considered, connected, and memorable.
